This is a very beautiful country... we only really visited Ljubljana and Ptuj, but they're both great. Can recommend the street art in a former military prison in Ljubljana and we loved the thermal spa at Ptuj. Found it a little difficult to find places to stop in a motorhome out of season

Vignettes are required to use the motorways - available at petrol stations before you get to the border. There are toll booths, but only for vehicles over 7.5 tonnes
Speed limit is 130 kph on motorways, 110 kph on dual carriageways, 90 kph on main roads and 50 kph in built up areas.
Dipped headlights are compulsory during the day
Reflective jacket, first aid kit, warning triangle and snow chains are compulsory
You must not indicate when entering a roundabout, only when exiting one
You must not overtake a school bus when children are getting on or off it
Hazard warning lights must be used when reversing
Winter tyres are compulsory between 15 November and 15 March
